Drupal 7 Slide Show as middle texture |

It is 4 in the morning and I feel like I am struggling to get things done and there must be a better way. I have created my Drupal 7 theme and the designer calls for a slideshow as the middle_texture.
To cut to the chase, my forehead is getting sore, banging it on the desk.
I need to work out the simple steps, becuase I am sure they are simple, to go from a static background to a slideshow.

It turns out that Artisteer does not support any outside calls for jquery or js files. No matter how hard you try it will not support a plugin solution. There seems to be isues with the structure of the outust files and bringing in anything that requires a 'non-bundled' java script/jquery/ js file or call.

Need to work this out once it is out of Artisteer. Views>Slideshow module.
If anyone has simple steps to get it into Drupal once the theme is up, love to hear it.
