I downloaded Artisteer 3.0.0.38499 and it has problem with save any project...
When I try to save I have the message that "please contact support"

Same here.
After that it tells me of some sort of MAPI error.

I have a valid license, for christs sake!

"MAPI Send Mail failed".
Why would it want to send an email?
This is my production machine, I don't need email on this. Bing-bing distracts me from work.
Win7 x64 if it matters.

@Exactly: You can't answer a question with "exactly". Stupid user name btw.

@Clippy: Who said I contacted Artisteer support? That would be the prerequisite for them saying anything in reply, right?

I asked here first, because that's what forums are for. Especially since a lot of people are having the same problem obviously.
Artisteer should address this issue here publicly - given there is a solution. This would save a lot of time. Their's and their customer's.

I fail to understand your logic here.

The whole point of contacting Artisteer support is to, ermm, ask for support with an issue. If you don't tell them then how will they know? Just because a company has a forum DOESN"T mean that they constantly patrol it.

Forums are generally for user assisted support when companies themselves don't offer support or to find out if your case is a one-off.

1. I didn't say I won't contact Artisteer support
2. I explained why I posted the problem here first
3. This particular problem is not a one-off. Do a search on "save" or "saving"
4. There is little point in running official forums if you don't follow it so they should know of the issue in question and should comment on it, see 3.

If you're familiar with the search results, you'll find that no user has solved this problem.

Umm, nobody said you contacted support. It's clearly a good idea, though.

Blah Blah Blah and your point is? Artisteer does not comment in the forums. The forums are only for user support.

But your really a bootlegger anyway. Otherwise if you had paid your hard earned money you'd be contacting the support you paid for instead of b!tching here. Wouldn't you?

You should read the "blah blah blah" again. Maybe you get it the second time. If not, read it again.
I don't like your tone. And I don't think "defending" a company the way you are, accusing paying customers, is what they want.
They should comment here, if not on my problem with their product, at least on your hostile behaviour which is not in their favour.
Why do you bother anyway? You are not helping, you are making things worse.
If this was my company, I certainly wouldn't want people like you on my official message board.

It's getting flamey up in here. (I like how "Dub@ss" forgot the m. Perhaps that was part of the joke?!)

...Anyway, John, has support helped you out yet? Have they acknowledged your issue?

Yeah! Another very intelligent and mature post. Helpful, too.

Focus your lobotomized 2 brain cells on something else, maybe you can impress your crackbuddies around the corner.

I'm out of here.

I did not get help (Why do you need a forum if all you get is "Ask support!"?)
I got falsely accused of using pirated software.
I am whiny.

Just a little hint for those being insulted when asking for help.
3.0.0.37829 saves fine. Just downgrade.

Hi John and others,
3.0.0.38499 saves just fine for most of us, so it might be better to help out the developers and give a few details.

Lets find the common link with the non saving systems.

Anyone with this issue please add:
32bit or 64bit
Version of Windows.

Mine is fine on:
32bit & Vista Home Premium
32bit & XP Pro

Mapi is email so the conflict might be a problem with the email client, so adding that may also help.

It could be that the program uses the mapi to validate the email that was used for registration and you mapi will not accept the veification request, do you have the email account setup.

I see there are several topics of the problem in the forum.
And all of them said the same: "submit a ticket to support".

And there is not any solution, but may be you can this one:
1. Open Activation dialog.
2. Make sure you have Internet connection and "Auto-activate" checkbox is checked.
3. Click Activate button to reactivate your license.
4. Close and open program again and try to save.

I think, you have a valid license key, this will help you.

Well, as you see, most people here don't have this problem. Every now and then we see new names/non-regulars (Mariusz, John, Mad in this thread) posting about their inability to save.

This puts up a red flag for some users, as this is apparently a limitation of several cracked versions of Artisteer available on torrent sites.

This, in addition to the fact that a 30 second forum search reveals that this problem is never solved in the forum, and always referred to official support - and a marked unwillingness by many of the posters to do so - and maybe just 1 or 2 who have ever posted back with support's response... It makes people suspicious.

I (and many others here) take a different approach - we don't automatically doubt these people - we just can't help them. Try as I may, I simply cannot reproduce this problem. If I could, I'd send one of my famous "super-detailed lists" to support, belaboring every point with every possible successful and unsuccessful fix I found.

So because we can't reproduce the bug, and nobody will give us a support response that sheds more light on the situation and could possibly allow us to recreate the problem and maybe use our collective ingenuity to provide a fix/workaround, we're at a standstill.

So, I ask those who've received the "please contact support" message to comply, and if support doesn't immediately fix your problem, post back here with any additional details that you or support can provide.

So, for AC, if in fact you're interested in buying, I'd say do it. If it doesn't work, put in a ticket. If they don't respond or get it fixed within a few weeks, demand a refund. If that fails, go the chargeback route.

I must say everything works like a charm for me without doing anything special at all.
