Add a new Region with z-index |

Hello,
is it possible to add a new block-region which is between the content-layer and the background? So that I can publish for example a individual background behind the other content and block´s?

Are you talking about the sheet and the background?
If so... Yes, the templates are already setup like this; "z-index: 0;" is one layer below the wrapper/sheet, so anything you place there will effectively be part of the background.
