Very funny.

Now let me explain why i am asking.
I'm hosting a multiblog platform based on wordpress.
Each month, a new blogger join and wants to create a new theme.

Now i wanted to buy the software and use it to design themes for the new bloggers. However i much rather let them design their own themes using the software.

So i thought i would tell them to download the trail, make a theme and let me export it to them.
But i understand that this method invalid the licenses agreement, right?

Can you offer me legal alternatives? (other then buying a 120$ copy each month for each new blogger).

Thanks guys.

Hi dr,

If the product could do this, no one would buy it !

Developer Version

Maybe they could do a custom developer version just for you for say. $10,000.00 then you could use your developer license to let your people make all those sites.

It would be only fair.

Otherwise this fine software would go out of business and there would be no future upgrades if you had your way...

No need for the sarcasm.
I am not here for taking anyone living, but to find a win-win situation for all parties.
Currently, the software doesnt offer a solution for my type of situation.

How about offering a way for using the program on a per-template based, with lower rates?

Instead of me sending the blogger to buy a 50$ template on template monster or something, i'm looking for a good way to work with your product.

Just buy the product. Its worth it and not worth the time fussing about. :)

Buy the software. Make 20 or 30 Templates. Then let your bloggers choose from them.

Remember bloggers are not web designers. They are writers.

The problem has more dimensions. Artisteer also does not allow applying a registration code and saving an existing design. That was frustrating! I've mentioned it to support a couple of times. I think it would help make sales conversions, personally.

Although a rather cumbersome approach, one could allow a customer access to your desktop, configured for the client, so that they couldn't send emails, etc. That way, they could "save" the project, but on your computer.

It's especially easy with Windows server editions, which allow multiple connections at the same time (ala "Citrix approach).

This would also allow interaction with them while they work on the design, and would allow you to work together with them.

Of course, sitting in their office with your laptop has some of the same effect, but has restrictions of location and time.

I've done something similar to this with one client. They bought the product shortly afterward in any case, so I don't have any long term experience with how well this might work.

I did that. Downloaded 3 beta and created a design. Then paid the license and entered the reg code and saved my website. Worked very well. All while the program was running.

Just waiting for 3 final now. 8-)

Create a range of templates with your paid copy and allow them to choose one of them.
