If you are talking about http://www.blackstonewebdesign.com, the site looks it was made in the 90's by a 9 year old, same as the web sites from the Portfolio page.

One more thing: When you place a link to open a new web site, use a target on the link, so you won't move away from your web site. But what the hell do I know? Thanks for wasting my time, this is an Artisteer forum, and NOT for stupid web sites, and stupid web designers.

If by good ideas about web design you mean bad contrasted colors and graphics that come straight out of the 90's sure...

well said
Artisteer is really just a starting tool - I really only use it to create a decent website draft with compatibility for all common browsers. Not to say it's not worth it's price because it takes hours and hours over compatibility programming, but a good website always comes down to how far you're willing to customize it by hand.

Just my 2 cents!!!

You can use any tool you want. dreamweaver, artisteer, net object fusion, coffecup, microsoft products and any web development software product even notepad and still make good and bad websites.

We all have our own opinions on what looks good and what doesn't.

I don't listen to the hot shots like Peter & John that think things look bad because of artisteer or any other tools that they may slame.

Look at google, amazon, yahoo, majorgeeks. Old old designs. But they bring in more money than any of us could ever wish for. Use artiseer, notepad, coffecup who cares. It's just a tool.

There's good and bad in everything. Like Microsoft, Apple and Linux.
Verizion, At&T, and Sprint
Publics, Kroger and Walmart
Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Citibank

Make your designs the way you want and be proud.

I once saw a design of a plumbing company in Atlanta, GA
OMG it was the ugliest thing I ever saw in my opinion but boy did it bring in the jobs. It was marketed perfectly and the mom and pop didn't give a flying care of how the site looked.

The site was not created with artisteer. Probably one of the tools Peter and John use. LOL :-D

Hi Guys,

Alot of people have said it. It's really your creativity over and above artisteer 'click-and-pop' features that make a good design.

I don't think am quite there yet (honestly) in terms of making good designs but i try. Here is a shot

Pretty soon I will allow guys to download my designs just to help fellow designers who are trying their hands on web development.

Cheers

When you do please include them all in one zip file.

That way I can send my budget clients the entire zip and let them choose the design they want.

Thanks. Will save me tons of time and make me tons of money.
