Im using 2.6 RC2 to generate the Joomla 1.6 template. The vertical menu and horizontal menus are not displaying.
Anyone know why that is?

You have to send in as a bug report. That way, they can both track the issue, and also ask you if they need extra files, etc.

There is not any problem. See:
http://www.rebmann-host.eu/artisteer_test/params_menu.pdf
These params work fine on Joomla 1.6

that does not work in the Joomla version 1.6.0.0 .... The menu is always vertical, no matter how I dial.

Rebmann,
You should use art-vmenu module class suffix, not art_vmenu.

This is how I resolved the problem
For the top menu, I went into Module Manager searched for "Top" I changed the position of the top menu to user3. You will notice on the right hand side (when you click on Position) is the template and the left hand side is the title. So you have to find your template first then choose the position (title).
Title Template
user3 mytemplate
Also make sure the access level is public!
You do the same for the vertical menu, for the vertical menu I chose the "user menu" category so i searched user menu in the module manager and then modified the settings as i did for the top menu. The only extra option I changed was the "Module Class Suffix" , which in advance option on the right hand side and replaced "_menu" with "art-vmenu"
This is how got everything working, don't forget to change the access level to public.
One more thing:
When choosing the menu in the module manager , i.e. the user menu or top menu, make sure the Menu Assignment - Module Assignment is "On all pages"
For the vertical menu (user menu) in module manager it is
Title = Left
Template = mytemplate

I have looked through numerous forums and still haven't found a fix for this problem.
I tried Smith's method above and but have had still no luck.
Could one of the Artisteer guys please find a fix for this problem even if it's a simple hack.
The problem seems to be that the Top Menu in that module position isn't loading the CSS.
hopefully we can find a fix soon.

Hello Jrgweb,
I you Artisteer 3.0.0.32906 Edición Estándar.
Joomla 1.6 stable
Apache Webserver
Php 5.3.5
MySQL 5.1.47
The menu is on the top (user3) but appears just as a link, without any style.

when you lose styles I would check the css. maybe file permissions. Make sure all default templates are working in joomla 1.6.
I've been working with Angel on this and received his artx file. I opened it with my artisteer, saved as zip and installed on the joomla 1.6 test system. Worked perfectly. So were trying to figure out where the problem starts. Zip file creation, zip install or joomla 1.6

I just installed Joomla! 1.6 latest version from Joomla.org. I created the Joomla 1.6 ARtisteer template from the latest RC version.
Neither the vertical nor the horizontal menus work with multi-levels. I've set up everything correctly. It's possible that the bug lies in Joomla. Their standard demo does not have multi-level menus. So, we can't even test it there.

The reason, that the menu (in user3) doesn´t work, is that my version of artisteer (3.0.0.32906) makes some mistakes exporting the template. I don´t know why, but the same template, exported in an other pc works fine.
thanks

So, what did we do wrong that our multi-level menus do not show up?
Is there anyway to look in the backend? I think I set up the multi-level correctly, but perhaps I have to do something different on the Artisteer side when designing? I installed the same 1.6 template on a Joomla 1.5 website and it works fine, with the multi-level menu showing up.
In addition, I have trouble with blog layout articles. When I click on the READ MORE for each article, it shows a blank screen.
