In version 3 at: Go to Layout -> Block Position -> choose the block, and for it's position choose the first one - No Block.
You can also remove any block with previous versions.

there is no 'Block Position' in Layout .. I see only Suggest Layout, Page Layout, Columns

Sounds like you are using a version lower than v3. If you are exporting an html template then you remove unwanted blocks in the html file after you have exported the site. For joomla, wordpress, drupal exports you configure the blocks in the CMS.
If you use v3 of Artisteer with html templates then you can add and remove blocks within Artisteer.

I downloaded tryout version yesterday and it says 'Artisteer 2 Standard Edition'. Just checked Purchase link and only version 2.5 is availble. Where did you get v3? I am playing with templates provided by Artisteer and was close to make a purchase, but not sure now as I have a couple of unresolved issues as blocks... There are five of them under the vertical menu, and I don't need them..
