On a windows 7 64-bit, during the activation process, the program crashes, and never starts. This is a bummer !!!

On my second installation, which is Windows XP, it says License Activation Limit fails, too!!! My license does not expire until June 2011, and I have it installed on only 2 computers.

WHAT THE HELL ?

Let's see what support has to say...

I had no problem with installation at all. Using a Mac book pro with version 2.5, and on same machine using VW Ware Windows 7 Pro and installed version 3.0

Curious offcourse what will happen if the Mac version comes out and I want to install current copy on a Windows machine

I'm semi-impressed with support. They answered me back at 11:23 pm, and told me to try again, as they fixed the problem. Unfortunately, on my Win 7 machine it does not even start, and in my XP, I still get the license limitation error, and can not activate.

Do these people really work 24 hours a day? If so, I wish they would communicate with us more.

Because on my initial pc, the win 7 machine, I had installed it and uninstalled it many times, and after a system restore, now they are telling me that I have installed it on too many machines. NNNNOOOO !!! Only on 2 computers. So on the second computer, my XP, it gives me the license limitation crap. Let's see what will happen tomorrow... I have never seen such problems before, and this is my second year with Artisteer...

I'm stuck with the 3.0 pre beta release!!! That installs ans works fine. THis activation system that they have really sucks. I can understand they do it to protect themselves from piracy, but how about the legit customers like some of us here, who get screwed in the process? 8:37am PST, and nothing from support yet, since last night. Come on people, PLEASE help us out.

On my XP machine Artisteer got activated. On Win 7 it refuses to start (still). Hopefully in a few days, that will be fixed too. At least now, I can get to work. Thanks a lot Artisteer support team, you answered and tried to solve my problem almost for a straight 24 hours now!!!

Your biggest fan,
Nick. (I'm happy...)

So far mine has atcivated itself online about 30 times. Pretty much everytime I've ru the program.

I'm thinking of writing a script to keep reloading Artisteer to see how many thousand times it will force me to activate it online.

Makes me want a cracked version sigh...

I've read about this problem before in this forum. I was so close to buying this program but the lack of tech support seems to be a recurring theme in many posts.

Artisteer support is great.
I could not activate on my 2nd machine and contacted artisteer support at 2:50 AM EST and they responded a 3:00 am 10 minutes later mind you and the problem was solved.

Now that is fast good support.

Had the license activation limit problem too, but support fixed it within an hour or so.

Artisteer 3 is pretty amazing - I'm loving all the new features. They've really been on top of things lately.

Artisteer support was good to me too. Although it took them almost 24 hours to let me activate my second computer. On the first Artisteer crashes, I installed it parallel to the 3.0 pre beta. I did a system restore, and installed it again, uninstalled it, undid the restore and installed it again, and until now it still does not work. Because of that, they thought I had already installed it on 2 computers. When I installed it on my old laptop, the activation was failing, and I had to convince them through 3-4 emails to support that I reallly installed it on 2 computers and not 3. I had offer them my phone number, and through remote software, to see that on both computers I have successfully activated previous versions of Artisteer.

They finally let me activate my old laptop. I'm hoping in a few days they will release a new beta to fix my Win 7 laptop preoblems. On that, Artisteer V3.0 beta stops working right from the beginning. On the same pc, I have V2.4, V2.5, and V3.0 pre beta all working fine.

Nevertheless, Artisteer rocks, V3.0 is amazing and only getting better with time, support is fast, and those who don't buy it for one reason or another, are at a loss!

Well this is a beta realease so you cant expect it to be perfect right away and as long as artisteer is working on it it all good. Give them some time to fix bugs so that it would work smoothly!

I've been using Artisteer for 2 years, I have the version 2 installed, and the 3 beta, which I love so much it was all I was using for the last couple of months. However in the last week, everytime I open 3beta, it goes through a long activation, then tells me License activation limit reached. I contacted support and they reset, and all was well.... until the next time I opened it, then it said the same thing. The activation is behaving as if everytime I open the program, it is opening on a new computer or something! So I have to contact support again to reset again!
This time I will be afraid to close the program or reboot! I hope they get this activation bug worked out, because I cant edit any sites that I've been working on in 3 beta! :(

Being that you can only install on 2 machines I really believe it would be best if the folks at Artisteer could employ a system similar to say, Netflix. If you have Artisteer installed on 2 boxes already but the box dies, what to you do??? Pay for more??? No, you should be able to login to your Artisteer account and "Deactivate" that particular computer and add the new computer to the license.

Please, please tell me this is possible.

Jeff

:-) I run 2 legitimate copies of Artisteer. No cracks, no hacks - why would I want to steal someone else's work? The price is excellent for what it does, and I certainly wouldn't appreciate someone trying to steal from me.
I had an activation problem when upgrading from 2.6 to 3. Contacted support at 0:51:05 , and at 0:52:45 had a response which sorted the problem.
I'm happy. And that's why I pay.
