DNN normally updates the Copywrite information in site settings. However latest skin uploads have prevented (or seem to prevent this happening). Is there something in the skin that is affected by dnn 5 and the copywrite action used by DNN??? Has anyone else had this problem??

Yes, the Copyright details are on the Admin > Site page.
If you don't want that line to appear, (policy, etc) go into the page.ascx file after uploading the skin and remove those lines from the code.
It's too easy.
