Is there a better method for scaling a header image so that it shows the entire picture but scales it to fit into the indicated header dimensions? All of my headers are cropping instead of scaling. It's hard as hell to find good banner graphics for holidays that will show decently without looking cut off or squashed looking as Artisteer does currently. Unfortunately, most decent banners are like 1280x1024, and Im trying to fit it under 225px in height, and scale the width to the page size. I would greatly appreciate any helpful suggestions that anyone might suggest. Thanks.

Might not be the best suggestion you'll get, but what I do is I cut out the image (areas I want) and just use that as the header if I need a header image.
If that doesn't suit you, best thing I can tell you is to get Google Chrome and use the tools built in. There're some wicked CSS theming tools.

You can also try resizing the image manually before inserting using an image editing software like Gimp.
