Story/Page creation workflow?

What tools/methods are people using for creating stories and pages submitted to an up-and-running Drupal site so that you still get the Artisteer/Drupal style.css? I'm hoping to find a decent WYSIWYG method that's more like a desktop publishing environment than a hard-core web design environment. I've tried Quark and Indesign but they fail miserably. Apple's iWeb is close but some elements of their style page stomp all over the theme's style. Dreamweaver should be able to do this but how do you configure it?

I'm a little confused with this question, could you explain a bit more? The normal method for submitting content to a Drupal site is by adding a page / story through the normal interface, but you already know that. I've never used iWeb or Quark / Indesign, so that's where my confusion comes from.

If you're looking for a good WYSIWYG editor, this one's in my own biased opinion the best for Artisteer templates, I've had no problems with it. http://drupal.org/project/ckeditor

Please give more information regarding this if tis does not solve your question. After which, I'll be glad to provide a more definitive answer. :-)

Well, I use CKEditor but I find it really primitive, klunky, kludgey, or like it's a web editor from 10 years ago. What I'd like to be able to do is use a high-end full-featured web design tool to build pages & stories yet have it reference the theme's style sheet so I know what it's going to look like before I post it. Then I could copy & paste the HTML code once instead of having to go back and forth previewing and editing.

My pages/stories need more involved layout than just plain text and images. I'd like to be able to do runaround like you can do in a desktop publisher app.

I know, I know, Ckeditor is about as good as it gets it seems. BUT with CKlink you can better get in more content easier, but that's all I can say there. But I don't think this forum is going to have the answer, if there is one, it's at drupal.org. Feel free to email me somehow to discuss further.

Cheers!

I"ve found TinyMCE with OpenOffice and "Paste as Word" works quite well.
