I have generated multiple Drupal Themes also for many sites. I even did one this weekend on a new Drupal install using the latest version of Artisteer. Zero problems with the theme.

Artisteer is ONLY for Drupal versions 5 and 6 as far as I know. Drupal 7 is not supported as it is not in its final version.

Artisteer works fine for me but then I am not stupid enough to:-

a) buy it without first testing the trial version
and
b) try to use it with an unsupported version of Drupal.

I am using Artisteer with Drupal 6 and am more than satisfied.

I just bought it today and I'm using against Drupal 6.17 (latest stable release) and haven't had one problem. Instead of crying why don't you say what is wrong and maybe someone will help you get through your issue.

Damn kids...

Another point: the hosting should be installed PHP5 version (not php4)

Well, Artisteer definitely is not perfect, but it is quite useful to say the least. We had to "hack" some parts just to make things look (and align) correct. There are some things that we wish Artisteer could do such as create tabs instead of buttons for pages where tabs show up. It would also be nice to be able to specify where different regions go; currently, we have to hack the page.tpl.php and move the regions where we wanted them to go. Last but not least, it would really be nice if it would allow the insertion of custom PHP code anywhere in template instead of having to open up the page.tpl.php and hack it. The latest version of Artisteer 2.4.0.27666 is pretty solid though. We had to extend our upgrade another year just to get it. :( I'm thinking maybe that's how Artisteer makes their money; that is, slowly upgrade their software a little at a time so as to keep the users coming back.

Agreed, Artisteer is not perfect, but shoot for the price it's pretty danged close. It did take me a little bit to learn what all the options did and how best to set up the baseline for a custom themed design. After investing a little time with Artisteer, it has proven to be invaluable. I should point out that knowing CSS is helpful if you need/want to modify the design and really *knowing* Drupal is quite helpful too :)

I don't often post responses on Forums, but I really feel this flame is completely unjustified. Artisteer has been a great product for me. I'm using with Drupal 6.19 and thus far, no issues. 8 hours with an Artisteer theme beats the heck out of 20 or so working with Zen or Zen 960. Based on the sheer frustration in the all CAPS post, it almost sounds like Sweetiepie may be a newbie to CSS, Drupal, and Artisteer. That doesn't make Artisteer a bad product though!
