OK here's what's happened and if anyone can advise me I'd be so grateful.
1. Created templates with Artisteer. Exported beautifully at first then problems started with exporting directly to blogs and had to copy and paste the coding instead.
2. Exported using html but blog was sticking, hanging etc.
3. Artisteer tell me to update to 2.4 and reexport.
4. I update and re-export the template, it then asked if I wanted to keep sidebar widgets. Said yes.
5. After saving the template all my widgets had doubled and moved all over the place.
6. Deleted the doubled widgets but when I tried to change the widgets back to where they were originally, they wouldn't move.
7. When I tried to edit or add new widgets I kept getting an error message.
8. Thought I'd re-upload my new template and this time remove the widgets. Big Mistake!!
9. Now I have no widgets, can't add any widgets and what widgets were there via Artisteer, can't be moved or edited. Same error message keeps popping up.
10. Had to revert back to my old template in the end which is not an Artisteer template, but now my posts look all funny and still have some of Artisteer's icons on there which shouldn't be as it's my own template and nothing to do with Artisteer!
Can anyone please advise as to why this happened. Why now are my widgets not working after I've updated to the 2.4 version of Artisteer. I've had a terrible week with problems caused by Artisteer. If someone can explain to me why this has happened I'd be extremely grateful.
Artisteer did say that blogger have changed the way that we can now export directly to other blogs but there is no explanation as to why these problems with the widgets have occurred and why I'm still seeing Artisteer icons on my own template??????????????????????????
