2.4.0.25230 is great and I see no reason for not upgrading at this point. It also seems to run faster than the previous version. They have addressed numerous issues, as in previous betas.
I'd be interested in any reports from others about the Article container, if they have addressed any issues there.

I have been using 2.4.0.25230 and I have found nothing that I regret upgrading. Everything seems to work great.
I have noticed a couple strange behaviors. I don't think they are new to this release.
1. I use Google Picasa for a photo gallery. The child menus drop in behind the flash generated by Google's script.
2. The Article Container loses its for matting if Show Container is turned off. That's kinda strange since bullets revert back to the Text.Html Default and the margin space is lost.
I have not tried the vertical menu but I plan to soon.
Here is the site I am toying around with www.pack67.org

Thanks for the Kudos
I just started working on a site with the sidebar menu and I am having some issues.
The SubMenu item are not available (they do not display as expected)
Only the parent menu items appear.
I'll post back if I find the solution. If anyone is sucessful with a sidebar menu w/child pages, let us know the details.
Thanks, Dan

The sidebar menu works differently in different browsers. In IE8, the dropdown (accordian) menus work, but only part of the item is visible. It is not stable enough yet for production work.

To minimize my trouble, I am staying away from the sidebar menu.

I wrote too soon. My issue was due to the way I was testing.
It was a live site where I only reskinned one page. Because of this, the menu did not expand since it went to the original skin on a page refresh.
All is fine for now with the vertical menu in my case.

Again, wrote too soon. There is a problem with disabled pages.
If a page is disabled - I do this if I want to use the page as a parent menu category but do not want the page to be viewable.
Here is the biger problem - OMHO a HUGE problem. The Admin and Host pages are disabled.
If you only use a vertical menu, the Host and Admin functionality is not available. Be very very careful. I am sure there is a work around but if you skin all your pages you might have a tough time with many features.
You could use the control panel to recover.

Check the aspx for your page and make sure that Admin and Host visabilitynare set to True NOT False. That me resolve the issue.
Nice catch, I missed that one...

I can see the admin and host tabs. They do not expand when clicked on. Nor do other pages that are disabled. But they do show on the vertical menu.
I still think this is the best skinning option for DNN.
Lets face it. Most DNN modules are a little quirky and require a careful touch at times.
