In an attempt to better document this behavior for my own convenience I put together a drawing & table (linked jpeg below) that shows which tools affect which spacing elements, both in the Artisteer preview and after publishing to Blogger. I've also noted cases where Artisteer's preview and the published result disagrees (in red in the table.) The highlights:
1) Article/Text/Formatting/Margin Left(Right) work in the Artisteer preview but are not functional on Blogger.
2) Article/Text Formatting/Font Options/Paragraph/Spacing Before: When using block-form headlines for articles, in the Artisteer preview the headline block to article text (dimension J in the diagram) is controlled by this setting, but it is nonfunctional on Blogger.
3) There is no way to adjust the spacing between the right side of a left-justified picture and the text (dimension I in the diagram).
4) Article/Styling/Margin vs. Article/Styling/Text Padding:
As shown in the table, these are nearly but not quite identical, and both are inconsistent between Artisteer preview and Blogger result. The design intent here is especially mysterious. What were these two tools supposed to do?
Hope that the Artisteer folks can clean this up and document it a bit better, and that in the meantime just knowing which tool does what will save others some aggravation.
