Importing user made templates

There are some useful websites which allow you to download free templates they made in Artisteer and some of them look very good.

But when I download them, they consist of a folder with images and Cascading Style Sheets, but no format that can be opened or imported into Artisteer.

What is the point of these templates if they cannot be imported?

I DO wish that when people kindly provide things, which is generous of them, they would not constantly assume that everyone knows how to use these things. If anyone could please supply some guidance on this, in plain English, I would be very grateful.

Hi Leonard,

They are providing the exported files, but not the .artx file that is needed to make changes. If they provided that they would probably want to charge for them - why don't you ask ?

Hi Dave,

The website in question offered free templates, but gave the impression they were already formatted in .artx but they are just (very good) CSS scripts. My mistake.

I can't find any sites that supply templates for use in Artisteer. I think that's a pity (perhaps copyright issues?) because exchange of templates among users would surely increase the likelyhood of people buying Artisteer, since they cannot use the .artx files unless they actually have the software.

The in-house "ideas" templates, though fun, are mostly irredeemably ugly and in really bad taste in my view!

BTW I replied to your kind answer to my question in the general forum posted today.
