Artisteer developers update the product when a new version of any of its supported CMS is officially released.

I think you said it yourself...alpha!!!!
After alpha1 comes a few other releases before the final release...Beta RC1, RC2 ...etc...

Please let's let Artisteer programers work out all the issues and features for Drupal 6 first. D7 is far from being released yet. :-)

We don't need 7 support right now. But the information is available, and Artisteer is nicely poised to help improve 6-7 theme upgrades, something that is never simple. http://drupal.org/update/theme/6/7

So I just hope the Artisteer folks are planning things out so that when 7 is released in the next year or so they can take advantage of a new demand in the market. (And make all of us happy.)

Best guess, Artisteer will wait for a 100% stable release. That would be the best route for them anyway.

I'd love to setup some drupal sites with drupal 7 RC1. But I need a theme from Artisteer, please.

Drupal 7 got released yesterday :-)
Any idea of when Artisteer will support D7?
Also, if I buy Artisteer now, will I get a free upgrade to make D7 themes?
Thanks!

Links to the 2.6 and the 3.0 beta versions are on the News page (http://www.artisteer.com/?p=news). They support Drupal 7, with the caveat that they might be buggy.

Well, downloaded the 2.6 version for the drupal 7 update and it does not work.
I made a template and loaded it into drupal 7 and it shows up as incompatible with drupal 7. Is there going to be another revised update or do I have to wait for the drupal 3.0 to be finalized?

:-(

Thanks for that info Aldo. Strangely, others here seem to have themes working in Drupal 7 so I wonder why it didn't work on your export. Can you install other themes?

Also, if anyone has any other input, I'm eager to hear! :)

What I noticed is that when you select Export Drupal 7.x Theme, the title of the dialogue box that pops up is "Export Drupal 5.x, Drupal 6.x Theme". So maybe the menu item activates the wrong export function. Whatever the reason, I also found that supposedly Drupal 7.x exported themes were in fact earlier versions.

I gave Artisteer 3.0 a try with Drupal 7 on a simple site (some OG's, page's, webforms etc). No errors reported, i didn't tweaked anything with my texteditor - but as i said, it's a simple site. Don't tried a complex site on Dr7 & Artisteer though

Artisteer generated Drupal 7 Themes missing “Add Block” link, when I switch back to drupal core Themes I can see Add block link, but not with any Artisteer generated themes
Any idea to resole this issue will be greatly appreciated as this is holding my project back
Many Thanks in advance
Hamza

It is there. First thing to do:

Use Druppal 7 then go to STRUCTURE (administrator backend) CLICK ON IT then You will see ADD BLOCK then click on it.

Aritisteer 3 Drupal 7 main menu displays vertical and un-styled. Firebug does not show any styling information attached to menu either. This occurs in both F.F. an I.E.

I know that this is a huge undertaking. I hope you can get it done soon. I'm definitely looking forward to a non dev version of Artisteer 3.

Hi,
I'm using Artisteer v3. I can't find no option to choose whether the export should be for Drupal v6 or v7. I need v7 now, but what I export never works in my Drupal7 installation. I always get message: This version is not compatible with Drupal 7.x and should be replaced. :-/

Am I missing something here?

I have the same question. Why is not compatible? How can I export a theme that is compatible with Drupal 7?

is ok now, I fixed the problem:-)

Adonis, if you fixed the problem, why don't you tell us how? I have the same problem and could not fix it yet...

Addition to my remark: I now purchased the upgrade from 2.3 to 2.6 and installed both 2.6 and 3.0 beta. In 2.6 and 3.0 the export for Drupal7 is in the file menu and only shows when you selected the template to be a Drupal design. Templates generated from both 2.6 and 3.0 were accepted by D7.

I just exported a design with 2.6.0.36391 Standard Edition specifically as a Drupal 7 theme, yet Drupal still says:

Quote :
Artisteer-generated theme This version is not compatible with Drupal 7.x and should be replaced.

@ Teddy

You should contact Artisteer support with your exported theme.

:-@ :-<

hi all - i'm using a trial version 2.6.0.36391 Standard Edition

and tried to create a simple drupal 7 theme but when i tried to install drupal said that the zip file did not contain any .info files

I have raised the problem with art support but nobody else seems to mention this.... is it something that this novice drupal newbie has done wrong????

thanks
