Can anybody give me some insight on how to work with pictures/images that I want to put in a header.
What are the dimensions for header pictures?
When I insert a picture from an existing file, Artisteer takes a slice out of the middle of the picture. I can position the slice up or down, but what dimensions would allow me to put almost the whole picture in the header.

Exact dimensions depend on height of the header and width of sheet, but I think header image of size about 800x200 should work fine.

I make all my header images the same size as my header size for the theme I am building.
Example: Im building my theme and I set the sheet to have a width of 1000 and my header is set to be 250 tall. I set my header image to be 1000Wx250H and then it gets saved into a folder along with any other artwork that I am using for the theme.
Sometimes I use images for Icons or backgrounds and have the sheet be 100% transparent so that the background is seen behind the lettering of the articles. All the icons can be switched to a icon from an image.
