Artisteer - The Next Generation

So I've been using Artisteer for about a week now. I purchased it because I was looking for a quick way to custom design templates without having to do all the code myself. I'm more of a graphic designer, who can code, but detests it with a passion.

First off, let me say, I love Artisteer! In the week that I've been using it, I've designed 7 new site templates, both Wordpress and Joomla. It's pretty damn amazing and easy.

However, being the "improve upon what's good and make it great" kind of person that I am, these are my suggestions:

Wordpress Templates:
1. The magazine style wordpress is what's hot, now, and pretty much why Wordpress is growing to enormous usage. The Artisteer WP Template generator needs to be updated to reflect this. I guarantee a HUGE increase in sales instantaneously. It's all the rage, and believe it - it's not a fad. The seo in WP is amazing. Hence why every designer is using it more than Joomla and the WP Magazine themes are ruling. Example:
http://wpjunction.com/magazine/

2. The ability to move blocks. Example, I really want to be able to put my search box at the end of my menu. Let me! ;) This feature would actually go along with #1.

3. Implement Ad Areas. Bloggers have been making bucks off ads. Magazine Wordpress sites make money off ads. Yes, one can download a WP Adsense addon, but why not have them stay in Artisteer for all their needs?

New Myspace Template Generator.
1. Artisteer is missing a HUGE community of design here. I've been hacking up the crappy Myspace code for years, building band pages, comedians, etc etc. These entertainers on Myspace are not going away. Artisteer could own this entirely. The crappy myspace layout generators online are atrocious.

Overall Updates:
Artisteer designs are a bit outdated....however, it's not much of an issue depending on how you use it. I'm customizing so much of it, that it doesn't look like I've used a wysiwyg editor at all.Adding the abilities aforementioned would greatly improve upon the customization capabilities and therefore create more attraction. Consider the sites that will slice up your PSD's and turn them into CSS. There are many graphic designers out there like myself who just wants and easy, but customizable coding helper. You got the goods Artisteer! Keep it fresh!

Adding a magazine style option to artisteer should be their number one priority.

+1 on Magazine styles layouts. But please support all platforms (WP, Joomla, DNN, etc.)

I'm in agreement with all of this. Need more control over WP and MySpace template creation is absolutely a must as I get requests for this A LOT!

Make Artisteer rock and the market shall be yours.

I second this. Artisteer needs more customization options, esp on wordpress.

Yeah it's a great add-on... alas, only for Wordpress which doesn't help the rest of us.

However, I've gotten on their mailing list in the hope that they will make a Joomla version.
