So just to let you know, I am new to building a website, but I like Artisteer so far.
I have made a template I like, and am now trying to make my website. I have tried a few html editors, and I don't really like any so far (maybe because I don't want to spend money?).
Anyway, I would like a wysiwyg type of editor with the ability to also edit the html code in a split window or something.
seamonkey or Kompozer would be ok, but when I switch to the html code screen and change something and switch back to the wysiwyg screen, it is all messed up. I loose my header image, etc. I know it isn't due to my editing, because even if I switch it back it does not fix it, and I can edit it in a text editor without problems. However it is kindof inconvinient to have to open a text editor edit, save, then go back to my html editor (seamonkey or Kompozer) and re-open the modified file.
Maybe I am just missing something, but it seems like this should be something fairly common, but I can't get any editor to do it right.

Try WeBuild 2010. Works great, doesn't cost a fortune.

WeBuild 2010 is a nice editor, the only thing I wish it had was the option for WYSIWYG. Is there anything like that? I would like to be able to switch back and forth. Maybe it is not necessary, but it would be nice to have that option.
Also I was searching and ran into Hotmetalpro. It looks nice, but I think it has been discontinued? And it does not have the true WYSIWYG option, but is very close.

Amaya looks very nice as well, and it is free. The only problem I am having is that it tells me I have errors:

And the wysiwyg page does not look right, it is all messed up. But I can modify and save it, and it looks fine in a browser, but that kindof defeats the purpose of WYSIWYG

I just downloaded a trial version of dreamweaver. Too bad it is so expensive, because that is what I am looking for...
