You can turn that off even in the demo. There is a setting in the export that does that.

I find it a little annoying though you have to do this every time you make a new template and export it. Is there anyway to change it permanently and have it keep your own settings?

You need to do it everytime

My work around was to develop my own template to start with, including deleting (disable check box) the Artisteer at the bottom (I left my own Link) and saved it as a template.
When the program comes up the next time around, instead of clicking on "Wordpress", I click on the right in last files on my template to load. New settings and all. I think I called it "My Settings Template".
Once you load this, you can start making changes as you see fit. I haven't tried this with the other CMS's yet.
Hope this works for you.

DaveKat, great suggestion. It will work for all CMSs. I happen to use DNN and I use a similar technique.
I also make a new version (using Save As...) every time I make a change. Just in case I want to return to the previous version, or I really mess up.

When I export the html file shows "Created by Artisteer v2.3.0.23326" in the code.
Once we purchase can we remove this legally?

You can remove/edit "created by" footer links anytime going Export -> Export Options -> Footnote.
