Is there a way to display the subjects of maybe 3 or 5 of the last posts that are not displaying on the home page so someone can click on them to go to that post?

If you only want said widget displayed on the home page, you can control that with the plugin "Widget Logic"

Hi Adam,
Thanks for this. I can not tell if this will do what i need it to. I need it to display the last few posts that are no longer available on the home page. What is widget logic?

Hi Brad,
Adam (TH), is telling you that there are two plugins that he has suggested may or may not do the job for you,
It is very easy to install and try out plugins. Most are displayed at the WP site under the 'Extend' menu. You install them via your Admin area of your WP site. If this is alien to you, then you either need to learn about it ( lots of good docs at the WP site , or via a book ! ).
