Still trying different aspects of Artiseer and I really really love this package! Seems easy all round. Few bits that need tweaking, but essentially a superb bit of kit!

However, last sort of trial I made a simple website and exported. It says it has backed up your previous template and then it publishes the new one, very easy and works perfectly.
But
Now I want to revert back to my old template, where are how do I do this?
Thanks

Hi Julie,

Each separate template/theme you make should be saved as an .artx file.
Then you can go back to any number of the previous designs you have made.

Exporting your design is NOT saving the design ( this is a very common problem here ! ). The program cannot reverse engineer the exported files.

So always remember to save often, just like you would a word or excel document.

Julie just a follow up...

I just reread this and if I have misunderstood and you have saved your artisteer design ( as a .artx file ), then you bring it back either using the open icon on the main tool bar, or select from the 'recent documents' ( note this has change a bit over the last few updates, but I'm sure you will find it!

regards, Dave

If you are talking about the backup of the design previously used on your Blogger blog, look under:

C:\Documents and Settings\***YourUserName***\Application Data\Artisteer\Artisteer2\Library\BloggerBackup

I downloaded the trial version, created a background, and exported it to my blogger blog. I didn't like it. So I changed it back to what I had before.

Except now there are things missing. The header doesn't even appear anymore, and the title, date, and footer are all messed up with my posts. I also had a post divider that is not even showing up.

Yes, I copied and saved my blog before I exported and published the template from Artisteer. This program is crap! It will ruin your blog.

DO NOT USE!!!

I really love the software. It's awesome. But as any software it might have some glitches. What i did with my blog is, i created a test/demo one and i was testing all the changes all the stuff on that particular blog, instead of my main one. If you don't like this option, there is export and import function on blogger. Simply export your blog to xml file, create demo blog, import your blog and test the software on that blog. Now, you don't risk your main blog, any changes affect only demo blog.

thanks :-)

The same thing happened to me as Ashley.
At the time I hadn't read through it very well, not realizing that it was just a free trial version. When I discovered the watermarks I deleted it, because I don't have enough money to buy it, then the same thing happened.

if I had extra money to spare perhaps I would have bought this product.
It was fairly easy to use, and made really nice layouts! It makes me really sad that I can't have the layout that it generated.

Great product!
