I created a DNN Skin using the latest beta version (downloaded today) and am really impressed...One thing I'd like to see is the DNN Search feature...although search was specified in the skin it does not seem to be available.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

i had the same issue, you just need to apply the skin and then add the search facility via the module menu

Yes, but you don't get what you see in Artisteer. For example, your Artisteer-designed button is not used.
Is there something else that needs to be done to get this to work?

I added the DNN Search code directly to my skin. Then I changed the button class to use the Artisteer button class
