Hello all,

I know i just can use the widgets to change what I am talking about but that's not the point :-D .

Why is it, that in the preview window of Artisteer I see the word BOOKMARKS (even when I preview in a browser) but when i upload the template to WordPress this has changed to the word LINKS: (even including a semicolon :-( )?

Martin,

That is a very good point! I think you spotted an error. I will let our engineering department know about this.

You can edit the link text by going to your templates folder and editing "sidebar1.php" and then look for the "Links:" text and change:

<div class="t"><?php _e('Links:', 'kubrick'); ?></div>

Change to: <div class="t"><?php _e('Bookmarks', 'kubrick'); ?></div>

:-D
I have just bought the program two days ago and I spotted my first error:-P

I knew how to change it in the PHP file Kevin (I mess around a lot with source codes) but I am still glad you mentioned it for others that might want to change it.

There is one other thing that I notice. Try it yourself and you will see what I mean.
# Open Artisteer and choose the WordPress option from the 'intro' screen.
# Go to the "background" tab.
# Choose to open backrgound "from file"
Choose a png file from: C:\Program Files\Artisteer 2\Library\Images\Textures# Try to open any png file there.

The program warns that it cannot open the file "Unable to open image file. File is locked or corupted" and then hangs.

Artisteer is importing the .png images from my computer under background tab just fine on my side, which version of Artisteer are you using

I don't have trouble with Artisteer importing 'normal' .png files but it seems that the .png images in the folder C:\Program Files\Artisteer 2\Library\Images\Textures make Artisteer hang. Those images seem not to be normal .png files (both Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro won't open them). Obviously this is not something most folks try, but I came across it and thought I would mentionO:).

Martin,

Yes, the files used in the photo object are a special, non-editable format. I believe the reason for this is because these images are licensed to Artisteer to be used in the program but not outside of the program. I don't think it is possible to add your own images to the image library. The only way of importing your own images is through Artisteer using the import feature for the background and header.
