This is a huge undertaking and would stifle the development of the core functionality of the program. At the end of the day, when you say you have tons of HTML sites that you want to convert - I can't imagine that you want to convert them all to Wordpress in one go. At the end of the day converting an exiting html template/theme to a wordpress php theme is not that hard. There is excellent docs on the wordpress site and a couple of good books covering it ! regards, Dave
