Using Artisteer 2.2, DNN 5 and IIS7, I get errors on Install Skin:<br>

Error processing file: *****.dnn is a restricted file type. Valid file types include ( *.swf, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.jpe, *.gif, *.bmp, *.png, *.doc, *.docx, *.xls, *.xlsx, *.ppt, *.pptx, *.pdf, *.txt, *.xml, *.xsl, *.css, *.zip, *.template). Please contact your hosting provider if you need to upload a file type which is not supported.<br>

It looks like you're attempting to upload a skin that was exported as DNN4 into a DNN5 site. In Artisteer, along the top of the window, you'll see "Export" with a downward-pointing arrow. Click the arrow, and choose "Export Options" in the new window, choose DotNetNuke to the left, then set the target version to DNN5. There were *significant* changes in skinning between versions 4 and 5 of DNN, and the packaging is completely different as well.

Did you ever get this figured out? I am having the same issue and I did make sure the option was for V5. Just doesn't like the ArtMenuSO.ascx.vb file

You need to install the ArtMenuSO as a module first. Then install the skin as a skin. I think you're attempting to install the Art Menu module as a skin and DNN is not allowing you to upload a .vb file.
