Can anyone tell me if there is a way to change the generated language Lorem Ipsum etc that appears in templates created in examples of articles etc to english before I Export the Wordpress template?

Hi Marie,
Not sure that I understand your question.
The Lorem Imsum text is shown in the program as a placeholder, so there is something to see.
It does not get exported !
Wordpress is a CMS, the content is entered via your Wordpress admin !
