I used Artisteer to create a WordPress theme similar to an existing site. I chose a three-column layout then moved all blocks (Search, Categories, Archive, and Blogroll) to the rightmost column, leaving the leftmost column empty. Now I want to insert an image into the leftmost column and possibly some static text but can't figure out how to insert anything other than the pre-defined blocks into the column. I there any way to insert an image and/or text into a blank column?
Thanks
Mike

I'm also wondering if I can change the background fill color of columns individually; it appears that all columns must have the same background color.

If your theme have sidebars you can use a text widget (going appearance-> widgets) on your Wordpress admin to place your desired image in your sidebar. I think you can't set background color of all columns individually in Artisteer but you can do it manually assigning unique color to each of your sidebar.
