Hi Folks,

I'd like to upload my own foreground photo for creating a header in Artisteer, but I'm confused about the file format required.

In the Artisteer program library, the header pics appear to be in jpg format. However, I am not able to view them on my PC. If I upload a jpg pic, the background of the image shows and ruins the look of the header!

I'm guessing I need to use a pic with a transparent background in order for this to work properly?

I'm a bit confused as to what file format artisteer is using for the foreground pics in headers.. I can't see how it can be jpegs!

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Myles

I've been experimenting a bit, and it seems I need to upload png graphics with transparent backgrounds.

It looks like Artisteer converts the main part of the graphic to a jpeg with the border retained as a png graphic. Very clever stuff.
