I'm sure this has been asked before, but still here goes:
Is it possible to get an "expanding" side menu (main menu) in a Artisteer Joomla template?
Inside Joomla I can easily add sub items under parent items to my main menu.
These does not seem to show, unless I go to the module manager, select main menu and activate "Always show sub menu items". Then they are - always shown...
However I would like them to show only when the parent item is selected, and that way the whole side menu would expand/shrink according to which parent item the visitor click.
There seems to be a lot of sites using this technique now - and I hope it is possible with Artisteer also.
Using a side main menu *and* a top menu just seems to confuse my visitors....

Can you explain it with an example website having this technique.

To elaborate on this, I tried a menu system for Joomla that makes 'flyout' type menus.
When the menu's fly out from the left - into the 'body' - they are cut off.
So I cannot have any flyout menus on the left.
I'll have to spend the extra $ to get a 'tree' menu for the left that stayed within the bounds of the module dimensions.

Hi Garry,
Here is an example of a website using the "expanding side menu technique":

It is possible to add sub items in Joomla side menus. I just do not know how they can be shown in a template made with Artisteer....
Thanks for any further comments.

I seen your example site and I think it is just increasing the size of active menu items
