I created a templete through Artisteer for wordpress and it looked great when PREVIEW in wordpress BUT when I activate it in Wordpress. The text in header change.
http://www.mypinkplanetblog.com

Originally, under preview, it states in pink font "Real American Girls" & in green font "their passion for family, friends, life & American girl dolls"

Also there was 4 menu tabs

AFTER THE ACTIVATE

the heading - pink font is the same But the green font pretty much repeats the "real american girls" don't know why it's repeating.

There iss only 2 menu tabs.

I did try to go under editor in HEADING PHP but it's all javascript, I believe.

I only know html. Besides, that is why I purchased Artisteer so I didn't need to learn all this scarry language to me.

Did I do something wrong? Please help andremember I only know html.

Hey there....
I have the exact same question and issue.

I'm new....bought artisteer because I wanted something easy to use...

I have been studying WP and can't find anything to
help with this. I know how to add pages but I can't seem to
add them to the menu area with the tab I set up in my template.

Help with this is much appreciated....:-)

p.s. my site so far: http://www.msgulfcoastrestaurants.com

Menu items are there when you create and publish pages. Your Blog title and blog sub title are items that you set in WordPress under settings > general. The screenshot you get when acrtivating your theme is a grahic created by Artisteer software and like all themes it is in you theme folder named screenshot.png. It doesn't represent the content of your blog only the basic look of the theme.

Thanks Bob for responding so quickly.

I do understand what you're saying....but how do I make another page tab for my menu bar....en example a contact tab?
I know how to add pages and links....but the menu button is confusing me.
{I do have a hard time articulating my question....I hope I asked that right}.

Do I need to know some code to do to be able to go any further with my site?

Thanks,
Christine

@Christine

I usually publish a page called "Contact" and put an email contact form on it. Then a page called Contact shows up on my menu bar.

When you create a page on your wordpress admin, it automatically got attached to you main menu.

Create a new page named "contact us" and publish it in order to have your contact us page.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/contact-form-7/ Is a good plugin for contact us page which insert all required fields in a contact page, you can also customize it according to your needs
