When I go into WP to edit the text in the links Artisteer make in the bottom it adds the sign \ to the links making them unusable, why does it do that and how do I stop it from doing it?

Download the latest version from the News page - this fixes it.

Please explain to me what "the News page" is and how I download it ... I am having the same problem with the Footer links in Artisteer adding \ to all my links... everytime I try to add one.

 nevermind.... I read further and found that I needed to remove all single and/or double quotes from the URL to elimnate the magically appearing ////////////////!
