I would like to know how to make it so that even if I dont have the menu and submenus set to expand to show them from the drop down menu. The reason for this is because I use the same menu in my right sidebar as my header navigation. I do this to simplify making the menus. However I do not want them expanded on the sidebar just on the top nav. I really need to know how to do this. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry, this is not possible without coding.
Anyway, please note that my opininon is that using 2 menus with same content is only for confusing te visitor.

If I needed to have menus in both locations as you describe. I would create a new menu group or use Secondary Links and duplicate the header navigation. Make the header nav expandable and the new menu group not so much.
If you NEED to duplicate them menu that is.
