Hi There

Is there a way to center the Menu Bar (top) within Artisteer ...

If not .. which part of the template do I modify to have it centered .. I have one site that only has 4 menu items and I think it would like much nicer centered ...

Thanks for a great product .. really enjoying the ease of use and for a great price!

Hi.

I did this on one of our site.

Heres my solution:

look for this code under template.css

/* menu structure */

.artmenu
{
padding: 12px 6px 0px 6px;
}

the last 6px determines the padding on the left.

on my site I change the it into 60px
like this:
/* menu structure */

.artmenu
{
padding: 12px 6px 0px 60px;
}

hope this helps

Thanks .. changing the padding will work but won't adjust as I add to the menu. Not a major problem as I can adjust padding as needed ..

But is there somewhere in CSS that I can center the menu so it remains centered should I had too it ...

Thanks for your help

Dee,

As far as keeping it centered I tried several quick edits to the css but none would stick. If I have a need to center a menu and come up w/ a permanent fix I will give it to you.

One way to automatically keep the menu adjusted which is probably better than the padding rule above, but maybe you could put a definitive width in the css also would be here in the css:

.artmenu, .artmenu ul {
margin: 0; (change to margin: 0 20% or whatever percent suits your menu width / - if the margins are set too high the menu items will start dropping down)

You can try that however I only looked at it real quick in Opera.. but it might be easier to manage for you.

Have looked all through my template.css and can't find any.artmenu code anywhere. Am using Artisteer 2.? Can't find a Help/About Artisteer to know exactly which version. Can't get menu bar to center.

Thanks for any help :-)

Disregard please, got it sorted. I was looking for .artmenu as stated in another post above..it is REALLY .art-menu. Also found the version of Artisteer buried in the template css.

Thanks anyway :-)

Hello,
If anyone comes across this thread now the solution is simple. Go to menu>>> Item >>> Align and then select centered.

:-D

I really do not know how much more specific i can get. I would like to see the screenshot of the option to align the menu as described here:

Menu>>> Item >>> Align

Is it not true that if i wanted to align the menu to the center, left or right i can just go the above option? The thing is i cannot find the said option in the latest version from the download link.

Thank you.

You go to the item menu on the menu tab. It is to the left of the menu area
