When I click on a post - to view it individually - I see "Comments are closed".

Can I switch this off in Artisteer, in Wordpress or do I have to edit the theme?

It's a shame to have to edit the PHP code as that means I can't use Artisteer to change the theme later - unless I note the PHP changes I've made and re-apply them.

Yeah, I agree with you andrew, but editing the php is the only way I've found to do this.

Similarly, adding comments to pages is another similar issue. (You have to add the code to Page.php to get comments to show up).

Maybe in a version 3.0 we could start to see some CMS specific forms where we can provide our own default text, and have some check box options to include comments on pages, not on pages, include a note if comments are closed or include no note at all.

You should be able to do it in artisteer
If you backup the wordpress folder in:
C:\Program Files\Artisteer 2\Library\Data\Templates
Then make the relevant changes to the file
C:\Program Files\Artisteer 2\Library\Data\Templates\WordPress\Export\Files\comments.php
So every time you export a theme the comments are close message will not be there.
I can't remember which line needs to be changed but used to do it this way in a previous version. Obviously everytime you install a new version of Artisteer you will have to redo it.
