In which version we will be able to add new module positions, wherever we like?

Most likely you might get a better response to that question if you email them.
My opinion is that you will not see that for a while if ever. But by making more positions available you can in part now overcome not having that ability simply because you now have those additional positions to work with.

Adding more or altering module position names is one of the most important features needed in i future version of Artisteer.

Hi,
Artisteer really provides a great tool for what is is. After the creation and export we all have the ability to hack the PHP and css to manipulate the design and other features.
The output for our company has exceeded what we were looking for. It will be cool to see how the revisions come out. What a great product.

Be sure the correct syntax of module positions is:
<positions>
<position>top</position>
<position>left</position>
<position>right</position>
<position>bottom</position>
<position>banner</position>
<position>syndicate</position>
<position>footer</position>
<position>user1</position>
<position>user2</position>
<position>user3</position>
<position>user4</position>
</positions>
