I have problem using JCE editor: when I open article for editing in the back end, edit area is filled with template background. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Yeah, I've noticed that, but it does not affect the article at all
Just look at the source and you'll see there is nothing there.

I quite like it though, makes the back end look nicer when writing an article

:-@Had Same problem went into JCE Config in formatting: Use template CSS, Set to NO, you will get your white background back in article creation, :-/ Really cool feature but Had same issue had to find a fix as my background was too dark.:-P

On a related note, any body else have this problem with JCE?

When I apply a span style from within JCE, it displays properly with the assigned format, but as soon as I Apply or Save the article, the formatting inside the editor disappears, it's just plain text. The article displays properly when served, it's just all plain text within the editor, so it's no longer WYSIWYG. Makes it a pain to work with.

Any ideas?

You can specify a different css for JCE. Go to the JCE Admin and specify the template's editor css. Then edit that css to be sure the background is ... what ever (usually white).

Sorry for being generic, but the specifics depend upon you template, your joomla version and your JCE version.
