Can I get a round of applause for this hardworking Artisteer team that came up with this unbelievably great software, and then, what, 2 or 3 weeks later, puts out a major upgrade? These guys are incredible.

I bought it right when it was released, and already it has saved so much time that it has revolutionized the way we work with the web, enabling us to prototype new sites quickly on the fly. With this new version it is even more powerful.

And talk about responsive -- just think how many user ideas and critiques they have taken into account in this new version in such a short time.

Truly, these people are the best, and they are bringing major change to how people will work with the web. Brilliantly done!

I will give them a courtesy clap for now, then maybe a full round of applause once the rest of the bugs are killed! ;-)

I agre with Lance.

These guys (and gals I presume) are just doing their jobs. The company needs to do a much better job of internal testing and bug fixing BEFORE a software release. Then a "major upgrade" within a few weeks of the release wouldn't be necessary. Save us all a lot of time and gray hair.

Done griping now.:-)

Wow, was that a shot across my bow?

Petulant? I would say that my mental state is not one characterized by irritability, distraction nor am I ill tempered. As a matter of fact, I would dare to say that I have done more than my fair share of supporting the users of Artisteer using my own time and experience to do so without recompense.

I paid full price for my standard edition license and no where in there, any of the main pages of this website nor at the download sites did it say that this is "Beta" software. So yes, my expectations are the same as they would be for any commercial piece of software or product in that it should be rather bug free. I do not spend time bashing the software, I spend it finding ways to make it better, providing users with solutions and workarounds and supporting it.

So despite what you may think, I have just as much right to my opinion as you do to yours. I just choose not to resort to name calling or slightly veiled insinuations when responding to other users. I do have a life, but it is users who give responses like that who often make me wonder if it is better spent elsewhere rather than helping them in places like this.

I'd just like to say, on the subject of bugs, that I have yet to buy any piece of software that did not need to release pretty frequent bug fixes. It's just part of using technology.

But 2.1 is not just a bug fix -- it is a major upgrade because it introduces major new features that users on these forums had requested.

On the Joomla side, at least (I don't know what it did for other platforms), among many new features, it introduced about a dozen or so new module positions (the lack of them wasn't a bug, and was on a par with many of the templates you can find on the net) and made them all collapsible (a new feature, not a bug -- again, there are many templates available that don't have collapsible positions).

These new features were quick responses to users and introduced substantial new functionality. 2.0 was not in any way beta software -- I have used it extensively, on half a dozen different sites, with many different extensions, without problems -- and most (though not all) of the so-called bugs reported on these forums have actually been the result of user error, failure to read the instructions, and/or ignorance of how Joomla works.

So I say bravo to the team, thanks for all you've done, and keep it coming!
