Hello, and please let me say thank you up front for all the great help a large amount of you provide. I've been reading posts for the last few days. I have purchased the standard addition and am quite pleased with the output I've been able to achive thus far.

My issue is a common one but somehow I just don't grasp what answers I've read to date.

As many others have asked, I am trying to create is a wordpress web/blod site for my family.
I need a main page, individual pages for each family member (all web type static pages). From each of those I would like to link to a blog, ie: home page>wifespage>wifesblog. I want to create the themes in artisteer and manage in wordpress.

Where I am falling part is learning where and how to place each newly created theme/page and how to make them all be in the same or appropriate folders. I can find all the wordpress admin parts (add page, writing, parent info ect, but I am not getting a truly step by step feel for how to tie them all together.

I guess the short version of what I am saying is, I am getting very good at the theme /web page design, but not so good at understanding the posts on making it work.

Sorry for being so long winded, I'm just into using this program and wordpress and want to grow my skills. Unfortunatly, I haven't been working with web stuff for very long and came to Artisteer because I just can't spend too much time learning yet another skill set.

Thank you

The main issue is I want all the pages to llok different (as if I use Artiseer ro create maybe five different templates and make them all the same site).

DJ,

there are two issues as to what you are looking at.

1. Making a static site using Wordpress. That part is pretty easy.

2. Making multiple blogs inside that site. Not so easy.

Lets say you want to have 5 family pages plus the master site. Here is what you could do.

www.yoursite.com - Wordpress install 1
www.yoursite.com/family1 - Wordpress install 2
www.yoursite.com/family2 - Wordpress install 3
www.yoursite.com/family3 - Wordpress install 4
www.yoursite.com/family4 - Wordpress install 5
www.yoursite.com/family5 - Wordpress install 6

this way each install can have it's own design, etc.

Another possibility is to install Wordpress MU (multi user). It's a little more complicated that Wordpress, but it also can serve the purpose you are looking for.

Thank you Marc.

A different thought if I may......

What about if I created a Artisteer theme just llike any I might design. Only I design its look like a web page, from there I would think I could use wordpress admin to make it a static page and even create multiple other pages (even though they would all look simular, except my content).
Then could I inject, say, links to the various other family members blogs?
That way I would have my home, contact, ect ect pages for the whole family, but each member could have a unique looking blog and they would be availble on the static page as a clickable link?

Sound do-able?

If you are using wordpress to create your"static" page, then your design has to be for wordpress.

You can have multiple pages in Wordpress as well. Many use Wordpress as a static page CMS. Linking to outside sources, hosted elsewhere is possible, as well as linking to subfolders if you want.
