Seems to have fixed the most wanted issues. Also great to see that it nicely opens older saved templates/projects.

Artisteer 2.1 is around the corner!
We are offering the pre-release version 2.1 for everyone's initial review and feedback.
The upcoming version 2.1 resolves variety of issues reported to our team and includes the following improvements:

* Many new regions/positions avalable within Joomla and Drupal templates for placing blocks (modules).
* All regions/positions are collapsible (hidden when not used)
* Support for editing the footer area within your CMS administration (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal)
* The "created with Artisteer" footnote can now be disabled in export options
* Restructured HTML (DIV) and CSS for reduced size and improved clarity and performance
* Redesigned CSS syntax for improved Dreamweaver CS4 compatibility
* A new program option to turn-off the design auto-preview feature
* Right alignment option for the navigation menu

Looked at news page downloaded 2.1 how the heck do i add more positions in joomla and why can't i style each positions separately that would be great this would be a lot better if it some how allowed to drag and drop modules positions based on a grid. Instead of just seeing a preview if you could interact with the template that would be better good start I guess but a very long way form me buying. My pocket is itching for me to spend on this but just not worth it as I will surely get stucked with one year with out the features i need and want then would have to buy again to get upgrades.

Is any of your staff specialized in joomla template creation and whats all the joomla user are craving for. I wish I could talk to you guys one the phone with suggests that are needed for your success. well let me list a few.I like to ramble and think out side the box.

1.Moveable type interface. ( Drag and drop base on a grid system)
2. Ability to style each module position individually
3. Ability to have multiple styles for each module position and name that style

remember with joomla template module positions is the key the ability to have them anywhere and a lot of them that's what make a template great.

4. ability to to use image file for every aspect of your template. ( etc. module position header back ground not just a color
- Module position background not just color but an image
- Component body background image not just color etc. you get my drift

For your success this must require absolutely no manual php, or html editing as if it does then your are only creating this to aid template designers and I am pretty use defeating your purpose. Plus if them can edit html or php and are currently template designers then are are probably not going to buy your product as they are capable of doing this already.

Sorry for the long ramble but you got me excited with the potential your product has. The idea is great now the execution of what really matter will make or break you.

In 2.1 how the heck do i add additional module positions and place them where I want it I am running 2.1.0.15712 Standard Edition and don't see it any where.

Figured it out. The module positions are embedded in the code in the placement order shown on the help page. It would be nice to be able to drag them around on the page, or at least display them in the development screen.

Can you be more precise, I do not see any difference between Artisteer 2 and Artisteer 2.1 and I do not find where I can change positions of modules.
Thanks

Hi using version 2.1 and there appear to be problems with module positions i have created some 9 templates and with some of them the modules appear and in others they do not.

The modules that do not show up all always in the div class "block" The templates work fine in Firefox and safari but NOT in IE7

In IE7 you can tell that there are modules there as there is white space, but they just do not show up, it might be something to do with z-index

if you could please shed some light on this i would be greatful the templates are here: http://www.wdst.co.uk/demo/various-module-positions.html
