So what all do you have to change to have a fully functional working Joomla theme?

After Artisteer what do you have to do?

That depends on what you want. You don't have to do anything to a theme generated by artisteer - it will work just as it is.

You might want to make left and right columns collapse when not used. You might want to modify the template to be fluid width. You might want to add additional module locations and styles. When I generate one from artisteer, these are the things I do to it, but, again, it will work as is.

If you want to get an idea of the things you can do with them with a little modification, check out the various templates at http://templates.nodwell.net.

How about if the nav is on the right how to make that show up?

Site login box?

the site login box will show up wherever you tell it to show up from within joomla - on the right or left or wherever

if you want your nav on the right, do a 2 col layout with col on right (or 3 col with 2 col on right) from the option in artisteer

Yes, to have a "functional" template right from the get go there is nothing you will have to mess with, and really that is the purpose of this software.
Sounds to me like you are a bit confused on how module placement works within Joomla. Placement is managed from the Joomla admin panel. You can assign modules to show up in any user position available in your template. Artisteer can generate one or more sidebars for this purpose.
For more information on modules you can go here: http://help.joomla.org/content/view/1985/278/ or use the help icon built into the admin panel of Joomla. You can also check here: http://docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_assign_a_module_to_a_position%3F

I'm using the trial version of this software (Standard) deciding if I should buy the version. There are some things I like about it.

I saw on YouTube there was a code that Jennifer wrote to make a template fluid in Joomla by editing the CSS. Does anyone know where this code is at?

Now, I'm going through documentation and I cannot see what user positions are availabe in Artisteer templates? Where can I find this in the docs?

Next question? It appears some user positions are missing from Artisteer templates? How can I add these into the templates?
