I was wondering if anyone knows how to encrypt the footers on Wordpress themes? I have tried looking on the net to no avail

Marc,
People do this so others will not remove the footer links :)
Sonia and Emma,
Just open the footer and put the encrypted data in.

Just taking a stab in the dark as to Why, but I think why they want to encrypt the footer links is to sell the templates or give them away but prevent some one from removing them as S Dawkins mentioned.

You can..
1. Save as a folder
2. Open the footer.php file
3. Select all (ctrl-a, if you a PC)
4. Browse to http://www.rightscripts.com/phpencode/index.php
5. Paste the code into the box .
6. Then encode.
7. Cut & Paste the the code back into the footer.php file.
8. Away you go!!!

Yes the reason I want to encrypt is to at least try and make it harder for people to delete the footer links!
