No matter which menu type I pick, the "border" function is greyed out and not available. Can we not put borders around the menu block?
Thanks!

The way I get it to work is to click on the fill and change from built-in to customize and passive is now able to edited.

i need to know this as well...i'm guessing that the last answer was for the buttons on the menu, not the menu itself? i want a border around the entire menu...but its gray and i can't for the life of me figure out how to enable it! help?

found out that it only is not grayed out when you choose style--->shape and choose a tabbed shape. then it only puts the border on the bottom. this isn't what i want so i found a workaround, which i posted in tips and tricks...about how to do a menu bar border trick.
essentially i put a border on the bottom of my header image and made the menu bar flush with the header. next i'm going to put borders on the bottom of custom made menu bar images and upload to the images directory for the theme on my server.
hope that helps someone!
