When I generate a joomla template with one column it adds and extra section above the text area in addition to the breadcrumb area. I've tried to figure out the "div" by using firebug but haven't been able to get it out of the design.
Does anyone have any experience with this particular issue?

Go to main menu in Joomla - click on home link - in Parameters (System) un-check show title

LOL!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!! I know to turn off the title but usually that removes the title from the article...which is it didn't do... BUT I didn't realize that extra section was a title block from the CSS. It worked like a charm.
