I agree its a great program and I have work arounds that seem to take care of most the things I disliked about v4.
I even have a large html site running with sliders working (even in IE8) and Google analytics and an external contact form. All managed from inside of Artisteer without needing to hack. So to that extent I am happy with the progress. (Thanks to posts on here giving tips)
As I said it is great program and with a few more improvements here and there it will be awesome.

Nick no doubt you know more about this than me - but have you tried changing when the responsive kicks in. I always hated the way it kicked at width-1px. and usually change this.
That said due to the header disappearing I have never let a responsive design go live.

Why do all my page and posts headers say POST?
|

Don

There seems to be a major problem with WordPress themes. The page title shows "POST" rather than the title. Definitely not ready for prime time!

Not only all page and post headers say POST, but you can't remove them. Unchecking the page title in the backsite does nothing - surprise, surprise!
A totally unusable and useless version - at least to be used with WordPress.
The static Web Sites get generated fine, except the responsive problems in the header.
Back to the beta version...

New version keeps locking up when I import a graphic. Header, background, etc... Can't seem to save either. Just gives errors and shuts down

Anyone else agree that Artisteer would be better making a stable product than adding new features?

Well, the responsive design might be all cool and trendy, but so far I decided to remove it from my templates. Why? Because my HTC Sensation has imo enough of resolution, to do some simple scrolling. I prefer pinch-to-zoom instead of collapse (ruined) website - gee, we are not in a stone age, where WEP was a reality and never took off.
So, and just imo - responsive design will die off! Your next cell phone is going to have Full HD resolution, it is a waste of resources and energy.
Artisteer team could instead implement better header - plain js/jquery, allowing not only sliding whole header, but separate elements - replacing the need for Flash entirely. I would also welcome separate header for each page - I usually want big nice scroller, but only on main page ...
Btw - they fixed one my ticket (separator in menu), so I gave them a chance and paid for another year for the product releases ...

I'm afraid.I just can't believe a major bug like this was not detected by quality control. Do they have any to begin with?
Sounds like they havent heard of regression testing.....

"Btw - they fixed one my ticket (separator in menu), so I gave them a chance and paid for another year for the product releases ..."
That was my ticket
Any in the latest RC I can not get the typography to work correctly
If you have already entered text say as a h2 at 20 and then change it to h2 at 18 (via content: Heading2) the change frequently - not always does not carry through.

Not so fast, I had the same ticket. They fixed mine. HA!

Another bug in responsive. HTML site with two shapes in header for text overlap each other in responsive mode.
Also, why do the blocks not line up nicely in responsive mode?

I can verify that the responsive header area is broken. I have a headline, slogan and search field and they are all overlapping and displayed on one line in responsive view. This area was weak before, but is now unusable!
Got Feedback from support on this issue, and it does work...here is the fix.
Please try adding the following code to the Export Options >> CSS Options:
.responsive .art-header .art-headline, .responsive .art-header .art-slogan
{
position: relative!important;
}

That's odd, I was told you could not add responsive css via the export options. I've been having to do it manual in the responsive css file. Did they add this?
That would be a great addition.

I added it in the options css area and it worked. My responsive display was no longer overlapped. Hope this helps.

You don't even need to be that creative. The issue is that the close div tag occurs too soon. I exported to HTML but I'll bet it's a similar issue for other exports. Find <div class="herbal-shapes"> in the resulting code. Notice that the div tag is closed immediately. It needs to be moved just before the header tag is closed. Responsive header fixed for my site templates I tested it on.

I have the issue with the default template, however, the others that i set up modify seem to be great. It's must be something to do with the logo( title and the search field) being on the same line, on the default them.... seems minor, the,search field should fall below the logo or to the bottom of the page. This is something that can be adjusted by the user, !
I'm new to this software, but not new the themes been doing them for years and this is one great software program! I think They will come up with a solution. never seen too many bug less software programs LOL :)

Maxx

If you're talking about picutresqueweb.com, it appears the site is not set to be responsive.

No, I wasn't talking about that site. I was just passing on a tip I found while creating other sites.

I'm really waiting for the Magento templates!
It's essential for our company to be able to create our own Magento template with such a handy tool like Artisteer...
If there is any Beta testing, please count me in for it!
