Juergen,
I've just tested the Artisteer 2 Beta RC and cannot reproduce that. What Artisteer version are you using? Please try to use 2.0.2.15089.

Hello Juergen,

I guess I see what you mean. There is really a "Cannot assign default template" message displayed in the Menu Assignment section. But you don't actually need to assign the template to individual menu items. Instead please go to:

Extensions > Module manager > Top Menu (or any other menu, e.g. Main Menu) > click to Edit this module > select Position = user3. Save the configuration and go to the frontpage. You should see your Artisteer style applied to the menu items.

Hope this helps.

Caroline.

I have a Artisteer 2.0.2.15089 template export/import question. In Artisteer my tabs read: Home, categories, Archive and About BUT wehn I mport this template into Joomla the tabs change to: About Joomla, Features, News and The community.

I also have in the menu assignement box Cannot assign default template. message. I have done as mentioned about by setting user3 to TOP MENU, but it did not change the message in the Template manager.:*)

Cheers,

Charles

Like Caroline wrote "But you don't actually need to assign the template to individual menu items.". So this message is perfectly OK since you don't need to assign templates. The message is correct and doesn't need to be removed, it should be there.

Hi all,

My menu problem is solved thanks to Caroline. But what happens with all the other content of the template, like login and the rest. In my preview I only see the header with the menu bar and a space underneath where you can type stuff.

Is there something I've missed out? Help would be greately appreciated.

Thank you

@ Marcel

You need to add modules to available positions from: Extensions-> module manager from your Joomla admin.
