Ok, I solved the problem with the contact form, setting it to "plain" in contact form option, but the problem with "intro" e "main image" set directly in joomla article manager is still exsisting 
Am I the only one with this trouble??

New code was added to 2.5 template core to display those intro/main images. You will have to wait until Artisteer updates their html override files to include that code.

The template made in artisteer 3.1 works in joomla 2.5.
though there are some things not working properly. like in the menu in user 3 there are no margins visible between the buttons. the rest i have to test,

Lots of changes has happaned in Joomla during last few months. Hard to keep up. Cant blame Artisteer or any component maker for this..

Uh bottom line, need a solution with artisteer.
I do web development for money,
I paid for artisteer,
My clients are demanding,
Want current Web Technologies,
Joomla 1.7 expires in less than 30 days,
will not be current,
Web Apps and Site design will not halt,
Need Templating software to show paying clients demos,
this paid client is depending on extensoft for a solution.

Quick question: I have created, exported, imported to Joomla 2.5.1 a template with no issues thusfar- as I am a technical fetus, I progress at a snail's pace.
anyhoo.... I presume that the postions naming scheme in Joomla 2.5.1 is "position-1, position-2, ..." Can someone confirm my presumption?
And one other quick observation:

Yes, Joomla 2.5 use the referenced position naming and Artisteer support this, you can select it while exporting.

I do a clear install of the latest version of Joomla 2.5.1. en Aristreer 3.1 and is works without a problem. For this site I will be use for the home page not a standard draft. I want to make the nex draft

I recently went to J2.5 to see the new features and try it out, and am using Art 3.0, and i can add any template artisteer can create to joomla, except that joomla won't recognize any of my menus. So basically i get a website with no menus. Is this one of the problems everyone is talking about and why we should keep using 1.7 for now?
is anyone else having the same or similar problems? Anyone know a way to fix this or if I am doing something wrong? I'm not using 3.1 so I think someone mentioned earlier when you export you can choose positioning, but as far as i know 3.0 doesn't give you that option. Any input would be appreciated. thanks.

When I upload a zipped template using extension manager the template successfully installs but isn't visible in template manager. The template's files are sitting in the template directory (I have also tried to ftp the template folder into the templates directory), however in extension manager: manage the template location is located in Administrator (other templates are located in Site). The component is also shaded, unlike other templates in the list

Make sure you have selected correct Joomla version while exporting the template from Artisteer.

I have tried to install a template created in the new artisteer 3.1 version, tried both positioning sets and exported as Joomla 1.7-2.5 and onto both joomla version 1.7 and 2.5 and both return an error : Unable to find the install package.. I need help ASAP!!

Make sure you are uploading the exported Joomla template not the saved .artx file.

I wanted to thank you for posting this I was in the middle of working on a site today and found this issue, it would not load.
Per your post here I never noticed on the new version they have a drop down to select your version of Joomla.
Thanks for the information, I have been going crazy for the last few hours on this. My site is now working.

There are few moments in life that I get this much joy out of anything at all..
If your having trouble with Artisteer template and you are using version 3.1, then: as you hit export, that little window you are familiar with will pop up asking for the file name.. there is something new there... A choice, pick 1.5 or 1.6/1.7 and the default is 1.5...
This is super exciting to me for a couple of reasons.. My production machine is running Joomla 1.5 and my test machine is running 2.5.. the 1.5 setting works on the production and the 1.6/17 worked on the test machine 2.5... check that out see if that fixes the issue...

These troubles are the same using IE8, Safari 5 and Google Chrome. My version of Artisteer is 3.1 and I have the same issues working either in local Xampp or on remote server
