So today would be the big day for launching the Joomla extension.
But I sense some radio silence. It would be appropriate to let the customers know when there's been a delay or a new release date.
You've got a fine product. You don't want to risk loosing the momentum of an anxious and overall favorable state-of-mind of your clients.
Word of mouth is a powerfull thing. I intend to give a small presentation on your product early February on a conference I plan to attend. It would be nice to show the Joomla extension there. It could generate some revenue for you.

With kind regards

As mentioned in the other Joomla thread, I also sense the radio silence on Artisteer's part. Don't hold your breath guys.

Artisteer team, please think about the law. On their website you announce the release of the Joomla updates at 31 In December 2008. That's why many have bought their software. They have not met that deadline, and many buyers deceived. Is this a delusion?

For anyone who came directly to the forums and missed it, they have this announcement in the News section.

December 31, 2008
We are expecting short delay with the planned Joomla support but are working on it every day and will release new product update as soon as possible. Thanks to our customer suggestions the new version will also include Typography and Footer design features. We wish everyone Happy New Year 2009!

Thank you for speaking.
Several people have asked about betas. Is there a possibility there?

See my posting in another thread.

For those of you bemoaning the non-release of the JOOMLA plugin on 12/31/2008 - what's the big deal?

Can't you live for another day, another week, or another month without it?

The JOOMLA plugin is going to be a "tool" for developing JOOMLA templates - and JOOMLA templates can still be created the normal way, so adopt a posture of patience for a product that will make JOOMLA site design much easier in the future.

It doesn't need to be an INSTANTANEOUS NOW situation.

How many of the complainers here registered the same complaint to the JOOMLA core team regarding their release of JOOMLA 1.6 which they discussed last summer. Strange silence from the same crowd griping about Artisteer here.

Perhaps thats the difference between a paid and a free thing!
When you pay, you demand
When its free, you are happy with what you are getting ;-)

Not true! There is an old adage that states:

"The loudest boo's come from those in the free seats!"

Funny, when I bought my copy of Artisteer, there wasn't a contract that said the JOOMLA plugin will be available on such and such a date.

But I really dont understand what these free users will benefit from the upgrade? They will always have 'Trial' written all over the templates generated! :-(

My case, I am a user who has purchased the standard edition and I would be always "demanding" for what was promised :-).

Hmm, always demanding what was promised.

Well, that';s the first problem. Promising a featureisn't what they did, they said they were woking on supporting Joomla and Drupal in the future.

They were hoping to have it done b the31st, but that didn't happen.

And seriously, complaining about it here will NOT get it done any faster.

Hello Hasso I hope you find it helpful! Keep in mind you'll need to adjust it for your own template - for example I just did another one w/ a glare in the background and had to add that into the index page - and if you use more than just the 2 columns, etc - that would also have to be in there.

The Joomla left menu gets messed up - I'm working on that now, just need to figure out the CSS class Joomla is reading and rename that and then create another one. Seems artisteer is only set up for horizontal menus, which messes w/ Joomlas native vertical one.
