I don't know why it is happening and I don't know how to fix it--as soon as I turn one of the preset titles in the menu like "MAIN PAGE" to a link, the text drops below the colored portion of the menu. Has this happened to others? How do I fix it?!

I just ran into the same problem. If I change a page's title to:
<a href="/calendar.html" target="_blank" title="Calendar">Calendar</a>
the word "Calendar" appears in a different color an below the rest of the menu items.
